Efficacy of a shower cream and a lotion with skin-identical lipids in healthy subjects with atopic dry skin
Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology May 15, 2018
Berardesca E, et al. - Authors attempted to contemplate the efficacy of a shower cream and a lotion, each with skin-identical lipids and emollients, in the treatment of atopic dry skin of subjects with a history of atopic condition. The recruitment consisted healthy females with clinically dry skin on the lower legs, who underwent 4 weeks of daily use of the shower cream and 2 additional weeks of both the shower cream and the body lotion. The inference drawn was that the combination of a shower cream and a lotion with physiological lipids efficiently restored skin barrier function. It also increased the skin hydration, becoming an effective skin-care option for patients with atopic dry skin.
