Efficacy and tolerability of minocycline for depression: A systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials
Journal of Affective Disorders | Nov 11, 2017
Rosenblat JD, et al. - This systematic review was conducted to ascertain the overall antidepressant efficacy and tolerability of minocycline. The authors observed a large antidepressant effect for minocycline compared to placebo with good tolerability. The current analysis gave a proof-of-concept for the antidepressant effects of minocycline and provided the impetus for future larger randomized controlled trials (RCTs) as well as identification of subgroups more likely to benefit from this intervention.
