Efficacy and safety of tratinterol hydrochloride tablets in bronchial asthma: A randomized double-blind and multicenter clinical trial
Journal of Asthma Oct 25, 2019
Kong L, Zhao Y, Wang Y, et al. - Whether tratinterol hydrochloride affords a safe and effective treatment option for patients with bronchial asthma (BA), was investigated in this study enrolling 732 patients. The participants were randomly allocated to a treatment group (tratinterol hydrochloride) (n = 365) and an active control group (procaterol hydrochloride) (n = 367) and received treatment for 2 weeks after running-in. Post-treatment, a significant rise in forced expiratory volume was detected in both groups. Findings also revealed that forced expiratory volume, morning peak expiratory flow and asthma scores varied significantly as compared with pretreatment values. No serious adverse events were documented. Findings revealed the safety and efficacy of tratinterol hydrochloride, as well as its noninferiority to procaterol hydrochloride in treating BA.
