Efficacy and safety of transarterial chemoembolisation with cone-beam CT in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma within the Milan criteria: A retrospective cohort study
Clinical Radiology Mar 08, 2019
Lee JH, et al. - With or without the use of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), researchers compared the therapeutic effectiveness and safety of transarterial chemoembolisation (TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) within the Milan criteria. In this retrospective cohort study, they compared HCC patients within the Milan criteria who had conventional angiography-guided TACE (Angio-TACE group: 58 patients from January 2010 to December 2011) with those who had CBCT-guided TACE (CBCT-TACE group: 55 patients from January 2013 to December 2014). According to findings, CBCT-guided TACE may improve local tumor control for HCC within Milan criteria; it also exhibited fewer cases of post-embolization syndrome.
