Teixido C, et al. - Efficacy of potassium hydroxide topical treatment at different concentrations was compared with that of placebo in terms of complete clearing of Molluscum contagiosum lesions. Researchers also evaluated the safety and tolerance of potassium hydroxide topical treatment. High rates of effectiveness were demonstrated by potassium hydroxide 10% and 15%. Potassium hydroxide 10% was better tolerated.
