Pediatric Cardiology Mar 14, 2018
Iwasawa S, et al. - The efficacy, safety, and adverse events of low-dose amiodarone (AMD) (≤ 200 mg/day) were comprehensively examined by the authors for tachyarrhythmia in patients with congenital heart disease (CHD). It was noted that low-dose AMD was effective for the treatment of tachyarrhythmia in patients with CHD. It exhibited a relatively low incidence of side effects. Therefore, it was inferred that low-dose AMD was beneficial and effective for decreasing the frequency of tachyarrhythmia in patients with CHD.
