Efficacy and safety of autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation in systemic sclerosis: A systematic review of literature

British Journal of Dermatology Oct 03, 2017

Eyraud A, et al. - This research pursued an appraisal of the efficacy of autologous haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) for skin sclerosis and lung function in systemic sclerosis (SSc). The results shed light on the notable improvement of cutaneous fibrosis and slightly the forced vital capacity (FVC), regardless of the heterogeneous nature of the trials. The safety of autologous HSCT appeared to be acceptable due to the severity of the disease.
