Efficacy and safety of additional surgery after non-curative endoscopic submucosal dissection for early colorectal cancer

Chen T, et al. - The researchers strived to examine the efficacy and safety of additional surgery after non-curative endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for early colorectal cancer (ECRC) and to investigate its long-term outcomes with an average period of more than 5 years. After non-curative ESD for ECRC, additional surgery was effective and safe. Additional surgery ought to be encouraged after non-curative endoscopic resection to foster curative treatment and better long-term outcomes.
