Effects of water‐based Liuzijue exercise on peak exercise capacity, functional exercise capacity, and quality of life in people with COPD
The Clinical Respiratory Journal May 28, 2021
Liu X, Wu W, Li N, et al. - Researchers sought to determine if and how water‐based Liuzijue exercise could influence peak exercise capacity, functional exercise capacity, as well as quality of life in individuals suffering from COPD. They randomly split 50 participants into three groups: a control group (CG = 17), a land‐based Liuzijue exercise group (LG = 17), and a water‐based Liuzijue exercise group (WG = 16). All participants underwent prescribed medical treatment. According to findings, improvements in peak exercise capacity, functional exercise capacity, as well as quality of life can be effectively achieved with water‐based Liuzijue exercise in patients with COPD, particularly with respect to increasing peak VO 2 and 6MWD.
