Stölzel K, et al. – The experts compared the efficacy of turbinectomy with lateralization, submucosal electrocautery and laser cautery additional to septoplasty for the treatment of the hyperplasia of inferior turbinates. They noticed that all surgical techniques offered a significant improvement in the objective and subjective nasal breathing and the quality of life. However, septoplastic reduction proved to be of additional benefit.
