Effects of sevoflurane and propofol on the development of pneumonia after esophagectomy: A retrospective cohort study

Zhang GH, et al. - Herein, the incidence of postoperative pneumonia (PP) was compared between patients who received either sevoflurane or propofol for esophageal surgery for cancer. In terms of the risk of PP development after esophagectomy, no difference was reported between sevoflurane and propofol.
