Effects of riociguat on right ventricular remodeling in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension patients: A prospective study
Canadian Journal of Cardiology Jun 30, 2018
Ahmadi A, et al. - Researchers determined the right ventricular (RV) changes correlated with riociguat therapy in chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) patients by assessing the findings on right heart catheterization (only baseline), cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, and positron emission tomography (PET) at baseline and follow-up time points, in these patients who were treated with riociguat for 6 months. In such a patient population, increased RV stroke volume index and trends for improvement in myocardial remodeling were reported in association with riociguat treatment.
