Effects of pregabalin on postoperative pain after hysterectomy under spinal anesthesia with intrathecal morphine: A randomized controlled trial
Journal of Anesthesia Sep 21, 2017
Kiatchai T, et al. - Pregabalin's ability to attenuate 24-h postoperative morphine consumption was tested, when administered during the preoperative period to patients who received spinal anesthesia with intrathecal morphine versus with placebo for abdominal hysterectomy. In spinal anesthesia with intrathecal morphine group, a single preoperative dose of pregabalin 150 mg did not bring about any attenuation in 24-h postoperative morphine consumption or pain scores, as well no prolongation in the time to first analgesic rescue.
