Ranjan A, et al. - The authors examined whether preceding ethanol intake impaired glucose response to low-dose glucagon among individuals with type 1 diabetes in this randomized, crossover, placebo-controlled study. In these patients, the ability of low-dose glucagon to treat mild hypoglycemia persisted with preceding ethanol intake. However, it tended to be attenuated.
