Furie KL, et al. - The effects of pioglitazone on cognitive function in patients with a recent ischaemic stroke or transient ischaemic attack (TIA) were investigated in this study. As measured by the Modified Mini-Mental State Examination (3MS), pioglitazone did not affect cognitive function among insulin-resistant patients with a recent ischaemic stroke or TIA over 5 years.
