Effects of multiple inherited and acquired thrombophilia on outcomes of in-vitro fertilization
Thrombosis Research May 25, 2018
Di Nisio M, et al. - Researchers assessed the relationship between multiple thrombophilia and clinical outcomes in a large prospective cohort of women undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Consecutive women scheduled for IVF were eligible in this investigation. Live birth was the primary study outcome. Spontaneous abortion, clinical pregnancy, and symptomatic venous thromboembolism were the included secondary outcomes. During the study, no woman had a history of venous thromboembolism and none developed a thrombotic event. According to the findings obtained, the presence of two or more thrombophilic defects was rare and revealed no statistically significant associations with IVF outcomes in women undergoing IVF.
