Crosswell AD, et al. – The current study examined the effects of mindfulness training on emotional and physiologic recovery from induced negative affect. Compared to the control group, women in the intervention group felt greater negative emotions when recalling a difficult experience associated with their breast cancer, and showed an efficient emotional and blood pressure recovery from the experience. Therefore, mindfulness training might lead to an enhanced emotional experience coupled with the ability to recover quickly from negative emotional states.
