Effects of intestinal levodopa infusion on freezing of gait in Parkinson's disease
Journal of the Neurological Sciences Dec 19, 2017
Zibetti M, et al. - The effect of levodopa-carbidopa intestinal gel (LCIG) infusion was determined on different subtypes of freezing of gait (FoG) classified according to levodopa responsiveness in advanced Parkinson's disease (PD) patients. The limitation was noted by the subjective simple measure of FoG, however, findings revealed that patients undergoing LCIG infusion maintained a good long-term control of FoG. In a considerable percentage of patients, Pseudo-on-FoG improved and OFF-type-FoG remained well controlled with LCIG infusion.
