Toennesen LL, et al. - Nonobese asthmatics were assessed for asthma control and clinical outcomes following an 8-week intervention comprising either exercise (high-intensity interval training), diet (high protein/low glycemic index), or a combination of both. Improved asthma control was achieved in patients in the exercise + diet group, with no impact on airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) or airway inflammation.
