Effects of esketamine sedation compared to morphine analgesia on hydrostatic reduction of intussusception: A case-cohort comparison study

van de Bunt JA, et al. - This study compared success rate, adverse events, and duration of reduction in patients who received morphine analgesia or esketamine sedation for hydrostatic reduction of ileocolic intussusception. Findings reported no serious adverse events. There was a weak evidence that esketamine versus morphine analgesia provides a higher success rate, lower recurrence rate, shorter duration, and shorter length of hospital stay.
