Babli S, et al. - The authors designed this study to evaluate the effect of coexistent chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis (CLT) on the clinicopathological features of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). In this study, CLT in patients with PTC was found to be associated with lower-stage disease and less disease persistence in patients >45 years of age. The presence of CLT was observed to be correlated with unfavorable pathological features in patients <45 years.
