Effects of adalimumab on T-helper-17 lymphocyte- and neutrophil-related inflammatory serum markers in patients with moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa
Cytokine Jan 25, 2018
Jimenez-Gallo D, et al. - This investigation was undertaken to determine the impact of adalimumab on inflammatory serum markers (ISM) levels in patients with moderate-to-severe hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Improved ISM-based systemic inflammatory burden consequent to treatment with adalimumab, was seen in the population studied. As per the observations, interleukin (IL)-6, IL-8, soluble tumour necrosis factor receptor I and C-reactive protein and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate may serve as novel biomarkers for a therapeutic response.
