Barakat MT, et al. – The physicians assessed whether a 20–minute educational intervention for endoscopists would improve the use of fluoroscopy and decrease endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP)–associated exposure to radiation for patients. With an emphasis on the ideal use of modifiable fluoroscopy machine settings, a 20–minute educational program resulted in an immediate and significant reduction in ERCP–associated patient radiation exposure for low–volume and high–volume endoscopists. For advanced endoscopy fellows, training programs had to consider radiation education.
