Effectiveness of submandibular duct relocation in 91 children with excessive drooling: A prospective cohort study

Kok SE, et al. - Authors assessed the efficacy of submandibular duct relocation in drooling children with neurological disorders. In this study, they included 91 children suffering from moderate to severe drooling. In children with neurological disorders, particularly in children aged 12 years and older and those without a forward head posture, submandibular duct relocation combined with excision of the sublingual glands was a relatively safe and effective procedure for diminishing visible drooling.
