Suarez JC, et al. - Experts carried out this study to draw a comparison between the efficacy of 3 different pain management modalities after TKA (total knee arthroplasty) that included: standardized knee injection cocktail and oral acetaminophen, liposomal bupivacaine periarticular injection and oral acetaminophen (LB), and standardized knee injection cocktail and intravenous acetaminophen (IVA). They did not note any added benefit in the routine use of intravenous acetaminophen or liposomal bupivacaine following TKA.
