Alizadeh F, et al. - Researchers assessed the utility of caudal epidural block (CEB) on blood loss, operation time, and analgesic use during hypospadias repairs of pediatric population referred to the university hospitals. A favourable impact of caudal epidural anaesthesia in addition to general anaesthesia on reducing blood loss during operation, operation time, and analgesic use was seen. The findings of previous studies in this field were confirmed in this study. These findings could be used for revising existing surgical guidelines for better management of hypospadias.
