Kopylov U, et al. - In this multicenter retrospective national study, researchers characterized the safety and effectiveness of vedolizumab (VDZ) in the maintenance treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) via involving 193 patients from 9 Israeli IBD centers. The findings from the present study suggested that VDZ is safe and effective for maintenance of response and remission in IBD. It was observed that week 14 response was positively related to long-term response in both ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD).
