Macaluso FS, Maida M, Ventimiglia M, et al. - The present study was performed to explore the efficacy and safety of Tofacitinib (TOFA) arising from real-world experience. Researchers carried out searches of PubMed Central/Medline and Embase systematically for real-world observational studies on TOFA for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC) through November 2020. Seven studies including 759 patients were enrolled in this research. The results demonstrate that cumulative analysis of data from real-world studies validated the good effectiveness of TOFA in UC shown by randomized controlled trials for both induction and maintenance, while the safety profile was consistent with previous reports.
