Effective shunt closure for pulmonary hypertension and liver dysfunction in congenital portosystemic venous shunt

Uike K, et al. - Here, authors examined the clinical features and established the optimal management of congenital portosystemic venous shunt (CPSVS) with or without pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). PAH was successfully controlled by CPSVS closure with PAH-specific therapy. The occurrence and progression of PAH with CPSVS could be prevented with early CPSVS closure.­
