Effect of whole-body vibration exercise in preventing falls and fractures: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Jepsen DB, et al. - The upshot of whole-body vibration exercise (WBV) on fracture risk was comprehensively examined by the authors among adults ≥50 years of age. A reduction was achieved in the fall rate due to WBV. However, it did not exert any impact on the bone mineral density (BMD) or microarchitecture. Hence, it was unveiled that WBV could prevent fractures by reducing falls.
