Nabecker S, et al. - In this study, data from two previously published randomised controlled trials were analyzed to determine the impact of the tube-guiding channel on the first attempt intubation success rate of different videolaryngoscopes and on other intubation parameters (such as time to successful intubation and visualisation parameters) in humans with a simulated difficult airway. As per the findings, for the performance of videolaryngoscopes, general blade design seemed more important than the presence of a tube-guiding channel.
