Effect of target temperature management at 32–34°C in cardiac arrest patients considering assessment by regional cerebral oxygen saturation: A multicenter retrospective cohort study
Resuscitation Feb 16, 2018
Nakatani Y, et al. - In this multicenter retrospective cohort study, the effectiveness of target temperature management (TTM) at 32-34°C in cardiac arrest patients was determined, while considering the degree of cerebral injury and cerebral circulation, as assessed by regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rSO2). An effective decrease in all-cause mortality with TTM at 32-34°C was shown in comatose out-of-hospital cardiac arrest patients with regional cerebral oxygen saturation (rSO2) 41%-60% on hospital arrival in Japan.
