Effect of surface sealant reapplication on clinical performance of hema-containing and hema-free self-etch adhesives: Two-year results
Operative Dentistry Jun 08, 2018
Tekçe N, et al. - Researchers assessed the clinical performance of one-step self-etch adhesives over 2 years with and without the application of a surface sealant. Results demonstrated excellent 2-year success rates of 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA)-containing and HEMA-free self-etch adhesives with and without surface sealing application. Nonetheless, experts did not note the efficacy of sealant application with regard to changes in color matching and surface texture. The marginal adaptation of the dentin adhesive and the marginal discoloration of a HEMA-free adhesive were improved by it.
