Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology Oct 29, 2020
Troia S, Moreira AM, Pisco D, et al. - This study was undertaken to determine if Shock Wave Therapy in association with an Aerobic Exercise Program decreases the degree of severity of cellulite in the gluteal region and in the ⅓ of the proximal posterior of the thigh. Forty-five healthy women, aged 18 to 32, randomly allocated, taking into account the degree of severity of the Cellulite Severity Scale and the level of physical activity, in three groups: two experimental and one control group. The study was completed by 42 women. It has been shown that the combination of Shock Wave Therapy and Aerobic Exercise is effective in reducing cellulite severity.
