Murillo–Ortiz B, et al. – Researchers aspired to gauge the effect of reduced dietary fat on estradiol, adiponectin, and IGF–1 levels in postmenopausal women with breast cancer. They observed that reducing body mass index (BMI) decreased serum estradiol and adiponectin. In order to analyse the role of adiponectin in breast cancer development in obese women, large clinical trials were needed.
