Aeberhard C, et al. - The authors, herein, studied the impact of the preoperative immunonutrition on postoperative short-term outcomes in individuals suffering from head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. A shorter hospital length of stay (LOS) and a lower rate for wound infections and local complications were revealed among patients receiving immunonutrition preoperatively. It was noted that these effects remained robust following a multivariate adjustment.
