Effect of prenatal laterality disturbance and its accompanying anomalies on survival
The American Journal of Cardiology May 24, 2018
Vigneswaran TV, et al. - Researchers performed a retrospective, observational study of fetuses diagnosed with a laterality disturbance to describe the findings and outcome of fetuses diagnosed between 1980 and 2017 at a tertiary fetal-paediatric cardiology unit. Furthermore, features which impact on outcome were also searched. Outcomes revealed laterality disturbances as a complex form of congenital heart disease. The survival has improved, but it continued to be poor. The poor survival was especially observed in the presence of anomalous pulmonary venous drainage, stenotic/atretic valves and CHB.
