Effect of parathyroidectomy and cinacalcet on quality of life in patients with end-stage renal disease-related hyperparathyroidism: A systematic review
Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation | Nov 08, 2017
van der Plas WY, et al. - This systematic review was undertaken to assess the effect of cinacalcet and parathyroidectomy (PTx) on quality of life (QoL) in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD)-related hyperparathyroidism (HPT). Findings demonstrated that treatment with PTx, but not with cinacalcet, resulted in improvement in QoL in this patient population. As per observations, the difference in impact between PTx and cinacalcet on QoL has not been compared directly.
