Fohtung RB, et al. – This study investigated the impact of new oral anticoagulants (NOACs) on prescribing patterns in older adults with atrial fibrillation (AF). Findings reported increased prescription of anticoagulants for AF in older adults mainly due to an increase in the use of NOACs. Nonetheless, an anticoagulant prescription was reported for fewer than 45% of participants.
