Issels RD, et al. - In this trial, it was demonstrated that patients with localized high-risk soft tissue sarcoma when treated with regional hyperthermia added to neoadjuvant chemotherapy, exhibited increased survival, as well as local progression-free survival. Overall, adding regional hyperthermia may be warranted for candidates for neoadjuvant treatment.
