Ibrahim H, et al. - The impact of cumulative doses of narrow-band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) phototherapy on vitamin D in subjects having vitiligo and their association with NB-UVB-induced pigmentation were investigated by the researchers. In patients with vitiligo, cumulative doses of NB-UVB therapy improved low vitamin D levels which might have a significant role in NB-UVB-induced repigmentation and could contribute to its therapeutic effectiveness.
