Belay H, et al. - Researchers here sought to determine the effect of late diagnosis of HIV on HIV-related mortality in Central Zone Tigray, Ethiopia. Findings revealed an increased HIV-related mortality with late diagnosis of HIV. They identified rural residence, unemployment, bedridden and ambulatory patients, and baseline hemoglobin level <11 mg/dL as independent predictors of HIV-related mortality.
