Effect of isolated vitamin D supplementation on bone turnover markers in younger postmenopausal women: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial

Nahas-Neto J, et al. - Herein, the experts assessed the impact of vitamin D (VD) supplementation alone on the bone turnover markers in younger postmenopausal women. Results demonstrated that isolated supplementation with 1000 IU of vitamin D3 for 9 months in younger postmenopausal women having VD deficiency was related to a decrease in bone turnover markers. However, in bone turnover markers, no between-group differences were noted.
