Effect of intradialytic exercise on daily physical activity and sleep quality in maintenance hemodialysis patients

Cho JH, et al. - Physical inactivity and sleep disturbance are frequently observed and relate to poor clinical outcomes in maintenance hemodialysis patients. In this current study, researchers looked at the impact of intradialytic exercise on daily physical activity and sleep quality, measured by an accelerometer, in maintenance hemodialysis patients. They found that for attaining improved daily physical activity and sleep quality, intradialytic exercise appeared to be clinically beneficial in this patient population.
