Bailly N, et al. - The effect of helmet use on risk of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other types of head injury (OTHI) was assessed in alpine sports. Findings supported the effectiveness of helmets in protecting users from head injuries. However, their effects on TBI, especially concussion seemed questionable.
