Bouvet L, et al. - This study was implemented to examine the impact of gum chewing on gastric emptying of 250 ml water and residual gastric fluid volume measured 2 h after ingestion of water. Findings demonstrated that chewing gum neither affected gastric emptying of water nor changed gastric fluid volume measured 2 h after ingestion of water.
