Effect of dolutegravir in combination with nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors on people living with HIV who have pre-existing nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor mutations
International Journal of Antimicrobial Agents Jan 28, 2018
Sörstedt E, et al. - Treatment results among people living with HIV in Sweden with pre-existing nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) mutations on antiretroviral treatment (ART) with dolutegravir (DTG) and 1–2 NRTIs were reported. Among these individuals, DTG in combination with 1–2 NRTIs proved as effective as ritonavir-boosted protease inhibitors (PI/r). Even in the presence of NRTI resistance, it could be considered an alternative to PI/r-based ART.
