Huo T, et al. - The effect of chronic hepatitis B infection on the risk of synchronous colorectal liver metastasis (synCRLM) was determined. Concomitant chronic HBV infection was shown to markedly enhance the risk of CRLM. The FIB-4/aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio index (APRI) was anti-metastatic for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg)+ colorectal cancer (CRC) patients.
