Montero D, et al. - This research was carried out with intention of contemplating the effect of beta-blocker (BB) treatment on peak oxygen consumption (VO2peak) in heart failure (HF) patients. No impact was reported by prolonged BB (B1-selective or non-selective) treatment on the VO2peak. However, it was found to improve the functional status in HF patients.
