Chang AK, et al. - This study was performed to compare the efficacy of 4 oral analgesics for acute extremity pain. The researchers found no statistically significant or clinically important differences in pain reduction at 2 hours among single-dose treatment with ibuprofen and acetaminophen or with 3 different opioid and acetaminophen combination analgesics for patients presenting to the Emergency Department with acute extremity pain.
